The layout of the past century has been preserved at the cloister. The main entrance is the north one, though the holy gates. They lead to the square aroud which the Church of Holy Fathers of the Seven Ecumenical Councils, the Church of Life-Giving Trinity, and the home of the father superior are situated/ The oldest church in the cloister is the two-storey Church of the Holy Fathers of the Seven Ecumenical Councils. It was erected in the 17th century. The majestic Trinity Cathedral was erected between 1833 and 1838 from the blueprints of the prominent Russian architect O.I. Bove. The austere external appearance of the Church contrasts with the solemn majesty of the spacious, light-filled interior, the painting, sculpture and gilded carving of witch have been completely restored. |

Archimandrite Aleksiy was appointed father superior of the Moscow monastery of St. Daniel by the decision of the Holy Sinod of the Russian Othodox Church. Divine Liturgy is celebrated and evening services are conducted daily at the monastery. |
